Day 1

Arrival at the Ecolodge

The arrival at Caleta María is part of the experience, crossing some of the most remote landscapes of Tierra del Fuego through scenic routes and navigating southern channels.
  • Arrival at the Ecolodge: Arrival at Caleta María and reception at the accommodation.
  • Welcome and dinner: First instance to start connecting with the southern extreme environment and characteristic regional flavors of Patagonia.
  • Expedition presentation: Introduction to the activities planned during the stay.

Day 2

Navigation to the Parry Glaciers

A day of navigation through the imposing fjords of Tierra del Fuego, heading to the Parry glaciers, among mountains, sub-antarctic forests and millennial ice.
  • Breakfast: Start of the day at the Ecolodge.
  • Parry Glaciers Navigation: Full day expedition through pristine landscapes. Reference duration: 10 hours. Difficulty: easy.
  • Marine wildlife observation: During the crossing it is possible to observe leopard seals, seabirds and, occasionally, cetaceans.
  • Lunch on board: Food service during navigation.
  • Dinner at the Ecolodge: Return and closing of the day.

Day 3

Adventure in Southern Patagonia

The program includes a day of terrestrial or river exploration, according to weather conditions and guests’ interests.
  • Breakfast: Start of the day’s activities.
  • Trekking or Azopardo river rapids: Trekkings allow you to discover trails through forests, mountains and southern channels. The Azopardo river rapids alternative combines adventure, navigation and contemplation. Reference duration of rapids: 4 to 6 hours. Difficulty: medium. Trekking duration and difficulty are variable.
  • Fishing option: Activity available within the reference program.
  • Patagonian dinner: Closing of the day at the Ecolodge.

Day 4

Return from Caleta María

After breakfast, the program ends with one of the available return options.
  • Land route: Return in own vehicle.
  • Air connection: Through coordinated flights.
  • Scenic navigation: Journey through fjords and channels to Punta Arenas.

Suggested equipment

The Patagonian weather is dynamic and can present all four seasons in a single day. We suggest:
  • “Onion Layer” clothing (Layers):
  • Base layer: Thermal underwear (top and bottom).
  • Middle layer: Fleece or light down vest to retain heat.
  • Outer layer: Windproof and 100% waterproof jacket and pants (Gore-Tex type).
  • Footwear: Waterproof trekking boots or shoes, mid or high top, with good grip sole and previously broken in.
  • Essential accessories: Wool or fleece hat, wind-resistant gloves, neck gaiter (Buff type) and thick socks (ideally merino wool).
  • Protection and Extras: Sunglasses with UV filter, sunscreen (UV index is high in the region), lip balm, reusable water bottle and camera to capture the landscapes and wildlife.
Important Note: In Patagonia, nature sets the rhythm of each expedition. Therefore, the order of activities can be adapted according to weather conditions and guest interests, always seeking the best possible experience.
