Where the Atlantic Reveals the Colours of Tierra del Fuego

We depart from Punta Arenas towards Punta Delgada to cross the Strait of Magellan by ferry. Once in Tierra del Fuego, we travel across the steppe towards the Cabo Espíritu Santo area and the Coloured Caves. During low tide, we explore the coast on foot among cliffs, caverns and rock formations that reveal different tones in the light. The walk lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours over uneven terrain, with exposure to Patagonian winds and the accompaniment of a bilingual guide. We pause to observe the textures of the rock and take in the landscape. The day includes lunch at Hotel Creativa in Cerro Sombrero, either before or after the walk depending on the tidal window. We return to Punta Arenas, crossing once again by ferry via Punta Delgada. Day planning: departure time and the order of the itinerary are confirmed according to the tides, weather conditions and ferry operations. Access to the caves is subject to safe sea conditions. IMMERSIVE MOMENT Walking among the traces left by the tide and discovering that, on this coast, the Atlantic also shapes the colour of the land.
