Our History
Austral Immersive was born from a shared dream: to transform our passion for nature, travel, adventure, and Patagonia into a purpose-driven project.
The story began a few years ago when Celeste and Melissa met and, through long conversations about travel, spirituality, and Magallanes, they discovered a common desire: to create something that would allow them to work connected with what they truly love.
Celeste brought her deep knowledge of the territory, her experience in excursions, and her passion for exploring the lesser-known corners of the Magallanes region. Melissa, with her commercial and public relations background, brought a people-oriented perspective, focusing on relationships and new project development.
This led to a question that would change their path: why not create our own company?
We soon understood that we didn’t want to focus solely on the most popular destinations. We wanted to discover and highlight a wild, less explored, and authentic Patagonia; territories rich in history, heritage, and culture, where extraordinary landscapes coexist with unique flora and fauna.
That was when Austral Immersive was born, a name that represents our essence and an invitation to dive deep into the southernmost Patagonia, discovering its landscapes, stories, culture, and most remote territories.
During this process, Claudia joined the team. With her knowledge in administration, human resources, legal aspects, accounting, and logistics, she began to contribute new ideas and a fundamental perspective to turn the project into reality.
Thus, a team of three women with different but deeply complementary experiences and skills was formed, united by the same vision.
We don’t just want to create a tourism company. We want to design authentic and memorable experiences that allow our passengers to discover the identity of Magallanes, connect with its history, heritage, culture, and gastronomy, and establish a genuine bond with this territory.
Austral Immersive takes its first steps today with the vision of growing and becoming a benchmark in Southern Patagonia experiences, without ever losing what was at the origin of it all:
a shared dream that, step by step, becomes a reality.

Melissa Contador
I am Melissa Contador, an adventurer, dreamer, and deeply in love with Chilean Patagonia.
Since I arrived in this region, something in me changed. I fell in love with its landscapes, the magnitude of its mountains, its fjords, its deep waters, and that nature that seems to have no limits. But there is something harder to explain: a special magic that you feel when you are here, when the wind, the silence, and the immensity remind you how small you are compared to nature.
I have always been a restless, curious person and an adventure lover. I love discovering places, improvising paths, connecting with nature, and above all, sharing experiences with the people I love. I also have a deep love for animals, and one of the things I enjoy most about exploring Patagonia is finding them along the way, often just a few meters away, and simply stopping to observe them in freedom, being part of their own world.
I believe those encounters have something magical. Seeing an animal in its natural environment, without intervening, respecting its space and observing its way of living, is one of those simple experiences that can stay in your memory forever.
I studied Gastronomy, and that path allowed me to discover another way to know Chile: through its flavors. Traveling and knowing the diversity of our country taught me that each territory has its own identity, its products, its stories, and its ways of sharing the table.
And it was here, in the extreme south of Chile, where I discovered something that particularly fascinated me: unique ways to prepare, preserve, and enjoy food, born from the history, idiosyncrasy, climate, and life in such a unique territory. I understood that gastronomy can also be a way to explore and connect with a place.

Celeste Chamorro
I am Celeste Chamorro and I have spent years discovering Patagonia through its paths, coasts, islands, and lesser-known corners.
My bond with this land goes far beyond an occasional visit. I have explored places like Torres del Paine, Cabo Froward, Tierra del Fuego, and Navarino, and I keep returning time and time again because these landscapes never cease to reveal themselves completely.
There is always a new route, an unexpected detour, a story, or some corner that invites you to stop and look with different eyes.
Over the years, both my personal and professional life have led me to work in some of the most isolated territories in Chile. That experience awakened in me a special fascination for remote places, for understanding how they are connected, how to reach them, and what stories lie behind each landscape.
I am passionate about researching routes, exploring new possibilities, and building experiences based on the real territory: its distances, its times, its climate, its geography, and also those small stories that often go unnoticed by those who simply pass through a place.
That curiosity is part of what inspires Austral Immersive: approaching the extreme south with time, attention, and depth, moving away, when possible, from the most predictable experiences to connect with a more authentic, remote, and surprising Patagonia.
I especially enjoy that moment when a place that seemed to be just a point on the map begins to reveal everything it contains. And above all, I am thrilled to be able to share that sense of discovery with those who come here.
Because for me, Patagonia is not a place you visit just once.
It is a territory always worth returning to.
LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE AND FINANCE MANAGER
Claudia Pauvif
I am Claudia Pauvif, a public administrator, entrepreneur, and above all, someone deeply in love with Chilean Patagonia. My love for this territory was born at the age of 15, during my first visit. Since then, I was captivated by the sound and force of the wind, the rain that seems not to get you wet, the white blanket of snow that covers the landscapes in winter, the frost underfoot, and that intense cold you feel when leaving a heated house.
I also fell in love with the sepia-toned landscapes, the flocks of sheep and their little lambs, the king crab prepared in different ways, and the particular sing-song cadence of the Magallanes accent. Each of those details is part of the Patagonia I know, enjoy, and want to share.
I am curious, creative, and restless. I enjoy transforming ideas into concrete projects, and I like to organize, plan, and take care of every detail. For me, that dedication is essential so that those who visit us feel accompanied, at peace, and free to fully enjoy each experience. At the same time, I believe there must always be room for adventure, spontaneity, and those unexpected moments that end up becoming the most valuable memories.
My professional experience in management and customer service has taught me to work with responsibility, closeness, and dedication.
Austral Immersive seeks to unite all of this: our experience, our love for nature, and the desire to share Patagonia from an authentic and intimate perspective. We want every person not only to see its landscapes but also to live them, feel them, and connect with its identity, its flavors, its sounds, and its people.
